I’ve found a matte liquid lipstick that doesn’t your dry lips out!
My lips are like the Sahara desert. I’m applying lip balm constantly and I couldn’t survive without lip scrub. If you suffer from dry lips, you’ll know that matte liquid lipsticks are pretty much a no go for you. They’re drying, they crack and they look pretty gross in a very short space of time. I don’t often buy matte lipsticks because of those reasons, however I adore the matte look so sometimes I give products a whirl. Nine times out of ten I am bitterly disappointed and pass the product onto family or friends but when I tried the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lip Colour, I was pleasantly surprised. Because we all want a matte liquid lipstick that doesn’t our dry lips, right?
I think because this product has a velvety matte finish, that it’s more moist (ew, that word). It doesn’t feel drying at all. It’s lightweight, strong in colour and guess what… it wears off nicely throughout the day. Goals? Absolutely. My biggest peeve with matte lipsticks is how badly they’d wear over time on my lips. From eating, drinks and general breathing, the lipsticks would come off in clumps. I’m so pleased that this Rimmel product doesn’t do that because finally, I have a matte liquid lipstick that doesn’t dry my lips. I can wear it out for a meal and not have to panic about looking a total mess because its waterproof feature makes it last. Reapplying the product for a quick top up is easy too – it’s a no fuss process. There’s no need to wipe it all off and start from scratch, which means I can stop carrying around a bunch of tissues to scrub off a bad matte lipstick.
There’s 22 shades to choose from and I want them all!
My shade here is Mocha. It’s a peachy/pink nude that I’d describe as a lip colour that compliments my natural tone. I love it. It’s such an everyday lip colour but also looks great with a full face of make-up for an evening out. I picked mine up in Boots for £5.99 – you can click here to view the product. I highly recommend this matte liquid lipstick for my fellow dry lip people! It’s a winner in my book. Now, what colour to get next…
