There is so much time, money and thought that goes into buying for friends and family at Christmas. It got me thinking that actually, we need to treat ourselves as well.
I wanted to create a beauty gift guide for you because you deserve it and I am all about self love. I’ve learnt a lot of on that topic this year, that’s for sure. Here is a beauty gift guide for you, because you deserve it. I bet at some point in 2017 you didn’t put yourself first, you went out of your way for someone else and you didn’t buy that fabulous handbag you saw one weekend because priorities and responsibilities. This gift guide for you is to encourage you to make room in that Christmas budget to reward yourself, pat yourself on the back and say “you’re a bloody good person and you made it through this year”. Whether you’ve had a great year or a pretty crappy one. We all deserve to treat ourselves.
Not sure how to treat yourself? Let me help…
If you like make up, but like me, aren’t the most skilled. Pick up a book to help teach you new tips and tricks. I am really into Bobbi Brown and these two books are really informative yet pretty. The make up manual for beginners helps on everything you need to know is great, or you can go specific with the everything eyes.
Or just buy yourself a selection of new reading material for 2018 if you’d prefer. There are so many great books around.
Why not treat yourself to a beauty or pamper gift set? Neal’s Yard Remedies has so much to choose from. The Beauty Sleep Bedtime Collection* is something that caught my eye. A relaxing set of products to use before bedtime, for all skin types. What is not to love? Bedtime is my favourite time and it’s nice to make it a bit more special with a skincare routine. With a beauty sleep body butter, concentrate cream and a pillow mist, you’re totally set for the perfect bedtime pamper.
A new perfume is a real treat and something we wouldn’t often buy ourselves. It can be pretty expensive but it’s worth it when you find a scent you love. You could go as cheap as £35 with Tommy Hilfiger or as much as £60 with Chanel. Whatever suits you and your budget. My favourite is Botanical Essence by Liz Earle, I adore this scent.
A treat for yourself this year can be anything you like. But do make sure you treat yourself. You’re just as important as everyone else.
*Thank you to Neils Yard Remedies for treating me and for gifting me the Beauty Sleep Bedtime Collection. These products are now essential to my bedtime routine, that’s for sure.
