I may have a lot of nail varnishes but I actually dislike painting my nails. Mainly because I know all it takes is for me to put on a pair of jeans to cause the first major chip to my varnish. Sometimes I wonder what the point is with painting my nails because they’re so chip-able. I can’t justify getting gel nails done every month anymore as I am tempting to save (somehow) so I was looking for something revolutionary to keep my nails looking colourful yet chip free like gel nails would. I found that within the Color Riche Nail Varnishes.
The first I heard of these nail varnishes was through the daily vloggers I watch receiving them in their PO Box. Good marketing L’Oréal, you got my attention for sure! The packaging they came in, Muji drawers to be specific, were a dream and the colours that were in each draw totally blew me away. I immediately paid a visit to Superdrug where I picked up two colours I try out, one dark colour which is very typical of me and one spring colour. Look at me getting colourful! I went with 662 Moka Chic and 224 Rose Ballet – both beautiful and so strong in colour.
I have to just state this now, I am in love with these nail varnishes. The formula is thick, well covering and when it dries it has the look and feel of gel nails. Two coats (for full colour and coverage) and you’re done. The great formula makes them ridiculously chip resistant, after one whole day I had my first tiny tiny chip which is a massive achievement for my nails that are forever in bad condition. (By no fault of my own… I think it might be in my genes to have rubbish nails.)
I need to invest in the rest of the colour range as soon as I possibly can because these varnishes have changed the way I feel about painting my nails. I’d definitely recommend giving them a go. If I haven’t sold you on the idea already, then you should know that they smell like parma violet sweets when they dry and it is a delicious dream.
Have you tried them yet or are you thinking about it? Let me know in the comments.
