I was recently invited to a bloggers event at Revolucion De Cuba in Milton Keynes. Due to work commitments, I couldn’t attend on the night but arranged to visit on the following weekend. The menu looked so delicious that I couldn’t pass up an invitation.
Deciding what to have was tough because there is incredible meats, tapas dishes and burritos on the menu that I wanted to combine into one meal to satisfy my over excited eyes. Brendan and I opted for the Surtido De La Plancha, don’t ask me how to pronounce that in real life because I definitely can’t. Hannah the Sales & Events Coordinator can pronounce it perfectly so head her way for the perfect pronunciation of this Cuban dish. A plate of chargrilled chorizo, crispy pork belly, slow cooked beef brisket, sliced beef fillet tail, Spanish morcilla sausage and tender chicken thighs and wings with charred veg and sweetcorn was mouth watering. If that wasn’t enough we also had a side of insanely huge onion rings (for Brendan), some delicious calamari (for me) and a bowl of sweet potato fries (to share if Brendan was quick enough!) I bet you’re feeling hungry after that!
It’s been awhile since I’ve eaten out at a restaurant and felt like I had my mind blown with a good meal, and this definitely happened. The presentation of the food was great, everything was well cooked and the flavours were on point. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the place itself was quirky and cool. On arrival I ordered a Banana flavoured daiquiri which I’ve never had before and I’d now highly recommend any cocktail fan to try, it was ridiculously good and now I dream of them. The waitress thought I was a bit banana obsessed as I also ordered some banana chips which are just dried out banana slices, so sweet and such a guilty pleasure of mine.
On my next trip to MK I will definitely tie in a trip back to Revolucion De Cuba. If you’re in the Buckinghamshire area or passing through, I suggest you stop by for some Tapas & Teapots of cocktails – what a combination.
This post was not sponsored and all my opinions are my own, can’t deny good food.
